Putoline air filters, utilizing leading-edge open-cell foam technology, offer users significant benefits, including:

Fully reticulated (open-cell) foam, employed in all Putoline filter products, comprises a honeycomb of tiny, interlocking cells of uniform size. When treated with specially formulated filter oil, each passageway acts like hundreds of very small centrifugal/oil bath filters connected to one another. This design allows the foam to trap and hold particles throughout the entire foam volume effectively.
The development of this unique foam represents a major advancement in air filtration technology. Consequently, foam air filters, compared to paper or cotton gauze equivalents, combine excellent airflow capability, substantial dust holding capacity, and very high filtration efficiency, even for extremely small particles.
Construction features include:
- Coarse open-pore foam capturing airborne dirt, grime, and sand
- Fine open-pore inner foam acting as a second filter to trap the smallest particles while ensuring maximum air passage
- Exclusively formulated adhesive ensuring glue seams do not break down

- Fused outer and inner elements preventing dirt and grime from being lodged between layers. Trapped particles can restrict airflow. If dirt works its way into your engine, a pinhead-sized granule could gouge your piston and rings like a bullet.
